The Print Process.

Thanks again for your interest in how Incognito Fine Art Prints are made!  All prints, from start to finish, are produced by Rick Catallozzi Jr. in Narragansett, Rhode Island U.S.A.  Rick's tools include a Mac Book Pro with calibrated monitor, Epson Sure Color P9000 printer, Fine Art Hahnemuhle Paper,  and a Graphic Lite wall.  Let's look at the process:

The Monitor and computer.

The print process starts in the Adobe Acrobat suite.   This first step is a very important one in creating the photograph's artistic quality.  Color and Light levels are adjusted on a calibrated monitor through an array of Adobe programs to ensure richness, vibrancy, and the highest visual quality.

The Printer.

The printing process is very important to Rick.  That is why he prints each high quality fine art print on a Sure Color P9000 PrecisionCore printer.  The printer uses Epson's Archival Ultra Chrome HDX inks.  Here are some facts about the magic in this printer:

What is a Epson PrecisionCore TFP Print Head?

  • One-inch wide print head with 10-channels of 360 nozzles each

  • Capable of printing up to 2,880 x 1,440 dpi

  • Supports variable sized droplet technology as small as 3.5 picoliter

  • Low vibration meniscus control for highly accurate dot shape and placement

  • New Precision Dot advanced screening for accurate color and smooth tonal transitions
